Alex and I have a new toy! We call it the "baby boom" - it attaches to the back of my chair and is made of Bosch tubing - used by Boeing because it is so strong and light weight. There has been many brains and hands on this project for several months, including 2 Boeing engineers (Steve and Todd), several guys at a machine shop, Jim at Bosch, and myself. (A huge thank you especially to Steve!)
It is pretty neat - he can swivel to face me or face away, he's on a roller so I can move him closer or further from me, and, because it's attached to the base of my chair, when my chair is down, he can stand and jump and when it's up, he can sit. How cool to be able to look at Alex eye to eye and kiss those dimpled cheeks! A video of the contraption is in the works so watch for it...maybe even later tonight!
